The mistake is treating exhaustion like a normal part of getting older. It is common, but common is not the same as harmless. A normal basic blood count does not always rule out early iron depletion or B12 concerns.
Be especially direct about digestive symptoms. Ongoing diarrhea, bloating, reflux treatment, stomach surgery, celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, or unexplained weight loss can interfere with nutrient absorption. You can eat a seemingly healthy diet and still not absorb what you need.
